You may have purchased an item that contains batteries / rechargeable batteries [hereinafter referred to as (old) batteries]. For this reason, we are obliged to inform you of the following:

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. As an end user, you are legally obliged to take used batteries to a suitable collection point. You can hand in your old batteries at the public collection points in your municipality or wherever batteries of the relevant type are sold. You can also return or send your old batteries to our shipping warehouse (see below) free of charge. If you would like to make use of this option, send your old batteries marked "used" to the following address:

Please note that our obligation to take back used batteries is limited to the type that we have or have had in our range as new batteries and to the quantities usual for end users.

Used batteries contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled.

The crossed-out garbage can means: Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.

The symbols under the garbage cans stand for:
Pb: Battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by weight
CD: Battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by weight
Hg: Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by weight

Electrical appliances:

The symbol "crossed-out garbage can" means that electrical and electronic devices must not be disposed of with household waste. Instead, they must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste and handed in free of charge to a municipal collection point. Old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the old device must be separated from it before being handed in to a stationary collection point. You are responsible for ensuring that personal data on the old devices to be disposed of is deleted.
